_little deadly harlequin_

Yet another Suicide Squad cover with the... ehm, rebooted Harley had me almost weeping.
So I decided to finally color and upload this.

A redesign, I guess.
More like tweaking of the original. As in...
- The shoulders, a nod to more medieval costumes.
- She wears full tights like ballet dancers, but has a platform under those, kinda like very thin shoes hidden by the suit, so she wouldn't hurt her feet. And those allow more freedom too.
- Then the collar, a bit more angular, if that'd the right description. Then again, I often draw it same way anyway.
- Mask is replaced by the part of a harlequin makeup, as in those arrows. I always loved those. She could pull them off. (I still love the mask)

I have actually drawn a version with an updated cowl too, but this one is just with her normal, BLOND pigtails. So yeah.

I criticised so many re-designs by other artists, I just want to say that I don't, by any stretch of the imagination, say mine is better. No. I don't think so.
It's just an idea, based on what Harley actually is and should stay - a jester. I don't think she needs to be modernised and put into actual, just themed, clothes to be 'edgy'. No top/pants/boots/jackets combo, and certainly no Hot Topic spawns or military looks. Those are just for a dress up.
Let her be in her spandex, hah. Superheroes get away with silly thematic costumes! Why not villains?

That cane has a blade hidden inside.
Hurr durr.

I do have more sketches with this costume, it's surprisingly fun to draw that. I'm not sure whether I should show them.
